We sat, together, with only our curiosity and urges. The orange sodium light traced the contours of her lips, cheek, and nose when she’d turn to look away, pensive. Obligations waited in the wings; but they would wait. We spent the time simply wondering aloud, soaking in our histories, our baggage, our faults.
She took off her glasses and pierced me with a glance. Her eyes moved and focused intently, directly, a curious blend of affection and predation. Unapologetically strong hands searched for tension in my neck, in my chest, between my legs. Soft, supple lips parted to inquire, then to kiss, then to suckle, then again to inquire. So it went.
So I hope it will go.
