It is not uncommon for the philosophies of science and those of religious faith to be poised against one another, and, while so counterposed, for some folks to take something less than a productive approach to the matter. Consider that Cobb County school board recently put stickers in their science textbooks stating that evolution is “a theory, not a fact”.
Any scientist worth his or her NaCl should promptly, and enthusiastically, respond, “Thank you.”
I’ve been surprised that the story you mention hasn’t attracted more interest amongst the public. It seems most the country is in a bit of an issue-fatigue (or in my case, outrage fatigue). Aside from the issues, I suppose that isn’t such a bad thing.
A bit remiss that I hadn’t seen this comment earlier. Yes, I’d have to agree that, now a couple months later, there’s precious little I’ve heard since, if any at all. I have to admit that I rattled my sabre but then neglected to read further about it at all.
