Seriously
This is why designers are craftspeople, are artisans, are necessary (despite this being weak evidence).
I have been sitting at my computer for roughly six hours trying to work through, in parallel:
- an Inkscape comp of a site design, including creating a vaguely floral centerpiece;
- looking for this one particular vector file from iStockphoto that I bought, but the layers/objects of which I can’t seem to edit, and the EPS file of which Inkscape doesn’t care for; and
- learning/playing with with the Inkscape L-system, perchance to generate my own organic, floral vector thingy.
Off to bed. Any day now, I’m due to spontaneously effuse designy stuff, effervesce with creative…um, goo, or whatever, excrete—this isn’t really working out as a useful metaphor. Just…six hours. So there.
